After reading, use the following annotation guidelines to help you annotate the excerpt of Let 'Em Play God.

Highlight any questions, and/or reactions.  Use the annotation tool to elaborate.

Highlight the places where Hitchcock describes what creates suspense and use the annotation tool to write what you think of his ideas about how to create suspense. Highlight the places where Hitchcock shows what he means by saying the audience is playing God. Use the annotation tool to explain how you feel about this kind of suspense. How does Hitchcock feel about what he describes as “whodunit or puzzler” movies? Highlight the sentences that explain Hitchcock’s point of view toward these kinds of films and annotate to explain what Hitchcock believes is the difference between suspense and surprise.         In paragraph 10, Hitchcock asks a series of questions.
